Leadership Update | Girls Inc. of Northern Alberta
Fort McMurray, AB — January 16, 2026 — Girls Inc. of Northern Alberta would like to share an important leadership update with our community as we begin the new year with clarity, purpose, and optimism.
We extend our sincere gratitude to Victoria Brown, President, and Brianne English, Vice President, for their dedication and service to the organization. Their leadership and commitment have supported Girls Inc. of Northern Alberta through an important chapter, and we are thankful for the time, care, and energy they have given in support of our mission.
As we look ahead, the Board is focused on ensuring continuity and strong governance during this transition. Stephanie Payne will be stepping into the role of Interim Vice President, providing steady leadership and support as we move forward.
The President position will remain open and will be filled through our established governance process at the Annual General Meeting (AGM). This approach allows the organization to thoughtfully consider leadership needs as we enter our next phase, while remaining aligned with our values, mission, and long-term vision.
Leadership transitions are a natural and healthy part of an organization’s growth. We are confident in the strength of our Board, our staff, and our community, and we remain deeply committed to empowering girls and young people to be strong, smart, and bold.
Thank you for your continued trust, engagement, and support of Girls Inc. of Northern Alberta. We look forward to the year ahead and to continuing this important work—together.
With appreciation,
The Board of Directors
Girls Inc. of Northern Alberta
