Volunteers play a vital role in helping Girls Inc. of Northern Alberta create safe, empowering spaces where girls can grow, lead, and thrive. From supporting programs and mentoring participants to assisting with fundraising events, bingos, barbecues, and community initiatives, there are many ways to get involved and make a meaningful impact in our region. Whether you are looking to volunteer occasionally or become more involved long-term, we welcome individuals who are passionate about supporting girls and strengthening our community.
Adult Volunteers
Adult volunteers can support Girls Inc. through:
- Programs and workshops
- Fundraising events and community initiatives
- Bingo and casino fundraising shifts
- Event setup and support
- Guest speaking opportunities
- Board of Directors involvement
Every volunteer contribution helps us continue providing impactful programming and opportunities for girls across Northern Alberta.
Youth Volunteers
We also offer a dedicated Youth Volunteer Program for students ages 13–18 who are interested in building leadership skills, gaining volunteer experience, and inspiring younger girls to be strong, smart, and bold. After applying, youth volunteers receive training and are matched with opportunities that fit their interests and strengths. Through ongoing support and mentorship, participants gain valuable transferable skills, confidence, and hands-on experience in community leadership.
