FORT McMURRAY, AB — Girls Inc. of Northern Alberta is proud to announce the tremendous success of its 32nd Annual Golf Tournament Fore Girls, presented by Imperial.

On Sunday, September 6th, 67 golfers took to the fairways of the Fort McMurray Golf Club for a fun-filled 9-hole tournament, all under beautiful skies that made for a perfect day on the course. This year’s theme, Safari on the Green: Helping Girls Find Their Roar, brought out our golfers’ creativity, and they arrived in fantastic safari-inspired costumes that added plenty of laughs and jungle-sized energy to the day.

Our heartfelt thanks go to John Tuttauck and the entire Imperial team for bringing their uplifting roars, including a girl golfer. Thank you for going in all in by having a blast with family fun activities and highlighting our long-lasting partnership.

We would like to extend a special thank you to the Fort McMurray Golf Club, whose hospitality and generosity helped make the day such a success. We are also deeply grateful to Cass and Nat Event Planning, who brought our vision to life and kept everything running smoothly from start to finish.

Thanks to the generosity of our golfers, sponsors, and community supporters, the tournament raised over $30,000, of which $10,800 was matched by the Edmonton Oilers Foundation. The funds will help Girls Inc. of Northern Alberta continue offering its programming completely free of charge to girls and young women throughout the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo.
